Grant Writer - Fund Development

We are looking for a motivated, experienced individual to join our team providing some of your time to assist us as a Volunteer Grant Writer. This individual will research and write grant proposals on behalf of our non-profit organization. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining a grants calendar to monitor applications, keep track of various deadlines and stay organized throughout the entire process. You should feel comfortable reaching out to institutional and potential donors as well as communicating with provincial coordinators regarding our financial needs. Our ideal candidate is someone who will be able to enthusiastically help OSI-CAN attain the donations it needs to serve our community of first responders and military members seeking better mental health.

Responsibilities:

  • Research, prepare and submit proposals for funding

  • Follow all requirements and deadlines for grant applications

  • Track progress with grants calendar

  • Communicate with potential donors and institutional donors

  • Write sponsorship packages

  • Pinpoint new funding opportunities

  • Review budget proposals with the President

 

Skills and Experience

  • Grant Writer: 1 year (Preferred)

  • Exceptional research skills

  • Clear written communication skills

  • Prior experience in grant or proposal writing

  • Detail-oriented

  • Organized and committed

  • A positive, can-do attitude

  • Experience with non-profit fundraising (Preferred)

 

Contract : 12 months.

Hours required: negotiable.

Job Types: Part-time.
